is Associate Professor in the University of Utah School of Computing. His interests span operating systems and distributed systems with an emphasis on low-latency distributed storage systems. Ryan was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the databases group at Microsoft Research, and earned his Ph.D. at Stanford University working as a part of the RAMCloud and the Secure Computer Systems labs. He is the recipient of a NSF Career Award (2018) and VMware Early Career Faculty Award (2019).
